A collection of photographs that depict motion in the daily life of people in Japan.  I enjoy finding ways to add motion to photography and use often techniques such as panning, jerking the camera, and other tricks to capture motion.  Most of the photographs in this slideshow collection show some of the many type of people on scooter or mopeds around Japan.  This is a popular form of getting around.  If you are interested in trying to capture more with your camera, try working more in Shutter Priority mode.  Most of these photographs were taken utilizing Shutter Speed techniques and tricks.  Enjoy the photoshoot! Kanji Japan is a photography collection of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji that make up the Japanese writing system.  I find these writing characters to be an artform in itself and are a joy to photograph.  Kanji can obviously be found everywhere in Japan and some of the uses in signs and on streets are very clever.   If you are ever in Japan with a camera, be sure to take some shots of Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana around the streets.  Enjoy!  Images were taken by Jim Atwood Photography at http://www.jimatwood.net in Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Nagano Japan.

Nagano by Day is a collection of photographs by popular Nagano Japan Pro Photographer Jim Atwood at http://www.jimatwoodphotography.com.
